From Whence We Came…
I have been a reader of the MML since its inception. I look forward to receiving it each Monday and Friday, knowing that I can always find comforting, uplifting, and practical quotes to suit whatever the situation or state of mind that I’m in.
My favorite one this past week: “If you can solve a problem by changing your behavior, it was never the problem—you were.” In 2019, I retired from a nursing position that I held for over twenty-eight years. Since retiring, I have become too laidback, some may even say lazy, and have lost interest in doing some important tasks. As an example, challenging myself to do those tasks on the computer that I often put off because of the complexity and having to navigate by trial and error. I have made excuses. My anxiety and fear of making mistakes got the best of me, especially not knowing how to make corrections. Those feelings have caused basic computer tasks to essentially cripple me.
I promise that I will take on the challenge of exploring my computer, starting today. Thanks Sean. Your love of writing and sharing these quotes have propelled me to read more. Continue writing, I will continue reading (and learning).
